Yes, you read it well, we are arrived in "La France"! After a big selection with a lot of interested cities, the Head of Delegation of France decided to organize the show in Le Mans.
The Host city Edit
Le Mans is a city in France, on the Sarthe River. Traditionally the capital of the province of Maine, it is now the capital of the Sarthe department and the seat of the Roman Catholic diocese of Le Mans. Le Mans is a part of the Pays de la Loire region.
Since 1923, the city has hosted the internationally famous 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance sports car race.
Antarès is an indoor sporting arena that is located in Le Mans, France. The arena is located inside the Circuit de la Sarthe, home of the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans, and adjacent to the first right kink on the Mulsanne Straight. The seating capacity of the arena, which was inaugurated in 1995, is 6,023 people when configured for basketball games.
Tsonga rose to fame by virtue of his performance in the 2008 Australian Open when, as an unseeded player, he reached the final, having defeated four seeded players along the way, including a straight-sets win over world No. 2 Rafael Nadal in the semifinals. Tsonga eventually lost to world No. 3 Novak Djokovic in the final in four sets, after winning the first set; it was the only set Djokovic dropped during the tournament.
In 2007, she recorded a duet single with the R&B singer Bobby Valentino, "Accorde-moi". The same year, she covered several 1980s songs on her album Futur 80, including "Boule de flipper" originally sung by Corynne Charby, "Mise au point" by Jakie Quartz and "Les Bêtises" by Sabine Paturel.
